MYOB begin the rollout of the latest version of MYOB Advanced this month (version 2021.1). All current MYOB Advanced Sites have been notified of their upgrade date. We have included an overview of some of the key improvements for you below.
User interface improvements
Key actions have been moved from the Actions menu to the Form toolbar, eg: on the Sales Order Screen the Create Shipment option is now on the Form toolbar. Additional actions can also be moved to the Form toolbar to improve workflow.
Enhancements to Inquiry screens
The customisable Inquiry screens have been enhanced by adding dashboard widgets to the pop-out sidebar. This sidebar can be used to easily see additional information about the record without opening additional screens, which is great for your Users who then do not have to navigate around the system to gain more key information. These dashboard widgets work the same as normal dashboards and you can click on them to open the underlying data.
Improvements to Notifications
When and how Notifications can be sent has been improved. This includes:
- The new capability to send notifications by text message, eg: Set up a notification email or text message acknowledging the receipt of a Sales Order. (Note: Additional SMS Module Subscription is required for this capability.).
- Email messages can also include reports or business forms as attachments (such as Shipment Confirmations).
- Notifications can also be run at a set time of the day or week, eg. a reminder email could be sent to customers with invoices due the next day.
